My artwork “Garden Harvest” is a great example of mixed media. I painted the background using acrylics, then used a transfer technique to print the architectural landscaping plans on top. I inked in the hand and seeds, then collaged the vegetables using images from cooking magazines. (I knew these recipes would get used somehow even though I never cook). I printed out rulers and measuring tapes from the internet and added those in as well. I finished off the piece by creating my own seed packets from collaged paper, paint, and ink. 30″ x 22″, $1400 matted and framed.
