Flourishing in a homogeneous world 1
mixed media (acrylic and paper)
24″ X 24″ on cradled birch panel
Flourishing in a homogeneous world 1 describes how diverse populations grow and survive despite others’ attempts to constrain them in their homogeneous society.
The base layer is created by collaging on colorful paper strips. Then all but the vines are covered with white paint leaving the bright, unpainted paper to become the focal point. I love how the raised texture of the collaged paper is still visual under the white color.
