Through yoga practice I found my flexibility growing, but more surprisingly, I found my sense of vitality, serenity, and mindfulness growing as well. I created my yoga painting series to share this experience, capturing different aspects of practice through Sanskrit titles. Kirtan is one of many Sanskrit words used in yoga, meaning “a community gathering involving chanting, live music, and meditation.”
Can you see yourself at this gathering? Some folks are sitting together listening to the music; others sit alone meditating. Can you pick them out in the painting?
