This painting captures the autumn of my childhood. Memories of cooler temperatures, changing colors, and shortening days all rush back to me. There's a nostalgia for those foggy beach days with crisp winds and washed-up seaweed—a pang of sadness for the dropping leaves and impending winter weather. These circles are portholes to my youth and bittersweet remembrances of those long-ago autumn days.
