Cyanotypes

Delicate stems, branching leaves, and wildflower silhouettes emerge from rich blue backgrounds in these botanical artworks. Inspired by Colorado’s alpine trails and the plants in my gardens, I use real botanicals and sunlight to create cyanotype prints. Some remain crisp blue and white; others grow into layered botanical quilts or take on soft washes of watercolor. Each captures the intricate beauty of nature in an unexpected way.
